I’ve been thinking about you both and about how deeply I love you, and how richly you’ve blessed my life. You have always been there for me. You’ve done so much for me in ways big and small, but the thing that stands out most right now is this: you have always made me feel like you are proud of me. Do you know what a gift that is?
You have always made me feel special. Loved. Seen. Cherished.
You are, in so many ways, the two people in my life who are most like the Savior. Your kindness, your patience, your steady love—it amazes me.
I’m grateful the Lord let me live long enough, and grow old enough, for my vision to finally clear. It may have taken me a few years, but I can now see what a tremendous gift He gave me when He sent me to you.
