I have always believed, not always practiced, but believed that saying a prayer before studying or reading your scriptures was a good thing to do. Last week it occurred to me like this. Before we feed our physical bodies we ask a blessing on the food that has been prepared for us that it may nourish our bodies. The same should go as we begin to feast upon the food for our spirits. How great it would be to our study to pray that the feast we are about to put into our mind and heart will nourish our souls that we may be healthy spiritually!

That's a cool thought..I actually hadn't really thought about it before like that either. All i know is that if I do pray before I study, I get much more out of it.
