Idaho Trip

It has been a very interesting trip so far. Kelly and I were going to leave Allen Wednesday morning to get to Matthew's BYU-I graduation.

I told Kelly that I thought we should leave a day early just in case we were to have car trouble or some other problems.

What a great idea that was ..or did I jinx us! ;)

To our surprise the oil light came on and then just as we came into Clayton New Mexico, we heard a noise under the hood and decided we better pull over. So fortunately, this happened as we approached a Super 8.



We secured a room in this 14 room hotel/motel and then begin our research on what to do next. After phone calls it was decided that the Audi was still under warranty so we would have to get the Audi people to work on the car. Problem, the closest one was in Colorado Springs. So after a few calls they found someone that would tow the car there and let us ride along. Unfortunately, they would have to come from CO Springs. So we had to wait 4 and 1/2 hours plus for the truck to arrive. This is what the truck looked like since we forgot to take a picture.

Ryan was our truck driver. A 27 year old single guy. He did a fabulous job and the long trip to the Audi Dealer wasn't so bad. We had a great visit and even let him know that we were Mormons. He said all he knew was that they do genealogy. His parents went to Utah to find their ancestors.

We arrived after 6 but since the dealership knew we were coming, they stayed about 30 minutes late to wait for us and help us get a car. They were very nice. When we told them where we were headed, they said they would get us there. So tomorrow we will get the news on the car and find out what our next move will be. Here is a picture of the loaner car we have now. It is pretty cool.
































Well, now it was time to find a place to stay for the night again. We tried many places but they were all booked. Finally, we found and got the last room at Comfort Inn.








We anxiously await to see what wonderful events are in store for tomorrow.
